Double Dutch Brownies

MAKES 24 BROWNIES

Brownies are found somewhere between fudge and cake. This recipe stakes it own claim and stands out from the crowd.

What you need:

  • 8 oz (16 Tbs) Lurpak® Unsalted Butter  
  • 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped  
  • 4 eggs  
  • ½ teaspoon salt  
  • 1 cup granulated sugar  
  • 1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar  
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla  
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour  
  • 2 cups walnuts, optional

What to do:

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine butter and chocolate in a bowl and place it over a pot of simmering water. Stir until chocolate and butter melt.
  3. Whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla together. Stir in chocolate mixture and then fold in flour. Stir in walnuts.
  4. Transfer batter to baking pan and bake for 45 minutes. Cool completely in pan before cutting into 2-inch squares.

1 8-oz package of Lurpak® Unsalted Butter = 1 cup (16 Tbs) or 2 sticks
