Dagwood’s Blondies

MAKES 24 SQUARES

One bite of these blondies is not enough! Try two!

What you need:

  • 2 ½ cups flour  
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda  
  • ½ teaspoon salt  
  • 8 oz (16 Tbs) Lurpak® Unsalted Butter, room temperature  
  • 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar  
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar  
  • 2 eggs  
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla  
  • ¾ cup chopped walnuts  
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips  
  •

  • Non-stick 9x13 inch baking pan 

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. With an electric mixer on medium speed, beat butter and both sugars until pale and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time and then vanilla. Lower speed and stir in flour mixture, nuts and chocolate chips.
  4. Transfer batter to baking pan and bake for 45 minutes. Cool completely in pan before cutting into 2-inch squares.

An 8-oz package of Lurpak® Unsalted Butter = 1 cup (16 Tbs) or 2 sticks
