Chocolate Bread Pudding
This recipe is for a really extra rich chocolate bread pudding! It uses the best butter and banana bread for a sweet result.

What you need:
- For the cake:
- ½ package Lurpak® Unsalted butter, melted
- 1 32-ounce loaf banana bread
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup sugar
- 16 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped into small pieces
- 8 eggs
- Baking pan:
- 2-quart baking dish, buttered
What to do:
- Preheat oven to 325°F. Cut the bread into ¼-inch slices. Cut each slice on the diagonal. Arrange slices in the bottom of the baking pan.
- Combine the milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add chocolate, whisking until it melts.
- Slightly whisk eggs. Slowly add chocolate/milk mixture into eggs, whisking constantly to blend. Pour mixture into baking dish and set aside for 20 minutes.
- Set baking dish in a larger pan. Pour hot water into the larger pan until it comes half way up the side of the baking dish. Place in the oven and bake until center of the pudding firms up, about for 1 hour.
